Overview

The University of California's School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) is unique among U.S. graduate schools in its focus on the economic, political, and business relations of the Pacific Rim, encompassing both the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region. IR/PS is recognized internationally for its excellence and attracts students from every region of the Pacific Rim and beyond. Only 20 years old, it was recently ranked in the top ten for foreign affairs by Foreign Policy.

IR/PS�s faculty and innovative curriculum provide our students with a unique blend of international relations, public policy, and management, as well as knowledge for leadership in the Pacific Century.

IR/PS offers four degree programs: the two year professional Master of Pacific International Affairs, the one year executive Master of Advanced Studies-International Affairs, the Bachelor of Arts/Master of International Affairs, and a joint Ph.D. in Political Science and International Affairs with UCSD Political Science.
